Position: Manufacturing Manager – Orthodontic Products

Location: Franklin, Indiana

Overview: The Manufacturing Manager will oversee the production of orthodontic products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to regulatory standards. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing manufacturing processes, and maintaining high standards of product quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production Management: Oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing floor, ensuring production schedules are met with maximum efficiency and within budget.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements (ISO 13485 MDSAP, European MDR, and FDA’s GMPs).
  • Team Leadership: Manage, train, and support production staff, including Receiving Inspectors, Final and In-Process Inspectors, and QC personnel.
  • Process Optimization: Develop and implement manufacturing processes and control plans, such as inspection plans, first articles, and process validation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all manufacturing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
  • Nonconforming Review: Oversee the management and disposition of nonconforming materials and products, including corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain complete and accurate records of quality control, production processes, and training activities.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies and corrective and preventative actions.
  • Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits of the quality management system and manufacturing processes.
  • Customer Feedback: Review and address internal and external customers, and user feedback to continuously improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing management role, preferably in a regulated environment (ISO 13485 or ISO 9001).
  • Skills: Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with ISO standards and quality control processes in a manufacturing setting.

Compensation

The base salary for this position is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
